Welcome to the Auckland University Underwater Club!
We are a non-profit, recreational dive club associated with the University of Auckland. The club has been around since 1961, which is pretty impressive when you consider the age of SCUBA diving itself (first pioneered just after WWII, but mainly in the 1950s!). We have always and will continue to provide students with access to the great sport of SCUBA diving, and other sub-aqua sports, at student-oriented prices (read: damn cheap!). This site has almost all the information you need to know about joining the club, upcoming activities etc. If the answer to your question is not here then the contact details of the person who knows the answer is.
So if you’re a keen diver, or you’ve always wanted to dive, join us and start enjoying life below the waves. No experience is necessary as we provide the cheapest PADI Open Water dive course to get you started. From there you can come on one of our many trips around New Zealand. Have fun surfing the site and we look forward to seeing you under the waves at some stage in the near future.
