A diver has been flown to Wellington Hospital after being slashed by a boat propeller in the Marlborough Sounds this afternoon.
Westpac rescue helicopter crewman Dave Greenberg said the chopper flew to Ships Cove in the Sounds about 2.30pm.

Sixteen pilot whales have been moved to a hillside above Port Levy.
The whales were part of a pod of about 60 that stranded in the Bank Peninsula bay on Sunday morning.
