October is upon us, and the water is warming up for what will hopefully be a stable summer with plenty of great diving for all.

The Scuba New Zealand Forum is an online discussion forum that allows people interested in scuba diving, from New Zealand and abroad, to communicate with each other on a whole range of topics. You need to register with the site (free of charge) to access all of the topics.

The Scuba New Zealand Forum competition for October is a light-hearted photo competition, with the prize being publication of the winning photo in Dive New Zealand Magazine - and the kudos of winning!

Here are the rules:

1. Photos should be taken after the competition was announced (25 September 2008), no digging out photos from three years ago!
2. Individuals can enter just one photo in each of the categories: Macro, Wide Angle, Overseas, People & Comedy.
3. Photos should have a minimal amount of digital editing.
4. Finalists in each category will be determined by a poll, with each member of the forum having one vote in each category.
5. The winners of each category and the overall winner will be chosen by our two esteemed judges: Kate Malcom and Pete Mesley.

So, get out there and start snapping!

To enter a photo, send it by email to divediva@scubadive.net.nz (along with a short caption describing the subject and where/when it was taken) by October 31st 2008.
